No surprises, from first search to final booking

  • Prices before you call. Per-plate rates, starting figures and package prices on the listing itself, so a venue is ruled in or out before anybody picks up the phone.
  • Capacity that means something. Not just "seats 900" for the whole property, but each hall and lawn with its own seated and floating numbers.
  • Your date, checked. Venues keep a calendar. Enter your date and the page tells you whether it is free — and what is, if it is not.
  • A shortlist the family can vote on. Share the list as a link. Everyone votes and comments; nobody needs an account.
  • A budget you can hold them to. The calculator breaks a wedding down line by line for your city and guest count, then shows the vendors who fit it.

Yogesh Gupta

Yogesh has spent twelve years photographing and filming weddings, which is twelve years of standing in the middle of them. He is from Kota, and he built Venue Dekho out of what he kept watching families go through: the same venues visited twice, the same prices asked for over the phone, the same good vendors missed because nobody in the family had heard of them.

A photographer sees a wedding from the inside — which hall actually seats the number it claims, which caterer is calm at 11pm, which decorator finishes on time. That is the knowledge this directory is built on. Alongside the camera work he has handled wedding management and the planning around it, so the questions the site asks vendors are the ones he has had to ask himself, on a deadline, with a family waiting on the answer.

Before you trust us with your wedding

No. Browsing, shortlisting, comparing and sending enquiries are all free, and there is no booking fee. We are paid by the businesses who list with us, never by you.

No. You deal with the venue or vendor directly and pay them directly — we are not in the middle of the transaction and we do not take a cut of it.

They are the figures each business gives us for their own listing, and they update them themselves. Treat them as an indication for comparing options — a wedding quote depends on your date, guest count and menu, so confirm the final number with the vendor.

For venues that keep their calendar up to date, yes — put your date into the enquiry form and the page tells you there and then, and offers the nearest free dates if it is taken.

Yes. Shortlist what you like, share the list as a link, and whoever you send it to can vote on each option and leave a comment. They do not need an account.
